Any Major Health Hassards For Dogs Traveling by Air?

In about a month, my family and I are going to be moving to Switzerland (we live in Canada right now). The flight is very long – usually about 8 to 9 hours. My dogs will more than likely be in a crate together in the cargo area of the plane. They are Havanese (a breed very simulaer to Maltese) and together only weigh 20 pounds.
I am just wondering if there are and health hassards that could be casued by flighing.
And iv always been courious: do dogs ears pop like ours when they fly?

Your dogs will be fine. I had friends who moved from Australia to Canada with their two afghans – a much, much longer flight – and the dogs were just fine. Just don’t feed them soon before the flight – you don’t want them throwing up.

I’m going to Italy, Has anyone had any bad experiences with their computer? If I keep it with me at all times while i’m in the air port, and locked in my suitcase while i’m in the hotel, will I have any problems?

It is best to strap it to your chest, so it blocks the bullet from your heart. Seriously, Europeans have as many lap tops as Americans, so treat it just like you would if you lived in LA or NY city. Common sense. Have a fantastic, worry-free trip!

Best branch of the military for MP who would like to travel?

My firstborn is preparing to leave the nest and has always aimed for a career in the military. He spent time in Civil Air Patrol and then took law enforcement classes that helped him choose a career. One of his main goals during his service, besides college, is the chance to travel. Besides the obviously horrible chance to go to Iraq, what branch offers good chances at travelling? Top on his list is Germany, I believe the rest of the world follows that. I’m sure I will get the negative posts concerning our country, politicians and Iraq. Those answers don’t concern me now. I am a mother who deals with those ideas constantly. However, in supporting my sons dreams and ambitions, I would like relevant information that will empower us toward a decision.
I didn’t mean to offend with the “horrible” comment. However, it is not a pleasant thought for anyone who has a loved one going. I’m sure that is agreed.

Honestly, I believe the Army is the best option for him. With the amount of bases we have in Germany, it will be easier for him to get there. Most of the time, especially with an MOS like MP, he will be able to guarantee his first duty station in his enlistment contract. If he wants Germany, he can most likely have it.
