When the pocket is light and the economy jittery, you don’t need to go for a costly accommodation in India. In fact, in India there is no dearth of cheap accommodations available, all you need is travel smarter in order to turn your trip into an enjoyable, smooth and affordable reality. Here are top ten tips you will find immensely helpful for landing a cheap yet clean and comfortable rooms while you are on India Travel.

1. Check Discounts: Check prices of different rooms and ask for discounts. Room prices may vary largely even within a hotel. For example a room with shower is cheaper than a room with tub. Air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned rooms have different prices. Similarly rooms with pool or garden views pricier. If you want a cheap room, say it. Some hotels have a few rooms that need renovation without private baths, which they don’t usually mention, figuring they would be unacceptable to tourists. And, if you plan to stay three or more nights, it’s worth asking if any discounts are available.
2. Consider Hotel Agents: As you step out from the airport or railway station, you’ll be met by some hotel agents offering their rooms for rent. They are usually just hardworking entrepreneurs who don’t have guidebook listing. If you like what the agent says, and the hotel isn’t too far away or filthy (many are), follow him to his hotel. You are obliged only to inspect the hotel. If it’s good, check into it. If not, leave. You are probably close to other budget hotels anyway.
3. Compare Prices: Sometimes hotels differ in prices for the same amenities and class. It is worthwhile to check and compare prices of the hotels in the locality. Some hotels raise their prices due to locational advantage as they are near some favorite hot spot. Consider searching for hotels a little far from such spots.
4. Bargain If It’s Off Season: The hotels are governed by economics of demand and supply. Prices usually rise with demand during festivals and special occasions such as Christmas or New Year. If it is off-season, try bargaining. If it’s too expensive, tell them your limit, they might meet it.
5. Come Early: Early birds get the room easily. If you anticipate crowds, arrive in the morning when the most and best rooms are available. If there is none ready until noon, take one anyway. Leave your luggage with the front desk, they’ll move you in later.
6. Think Small: Larger hotels are usually costlier than small hotels.
7. Let Hotel Managers Help: Have your current manager call ahead to make a booking at your next destination. If you’re in a town and having problem finding a room, remember that nobody knows the hotel situation better than the local hotel managers.
8. Consider a Chain: There are many hotel chains which offer cheap or moderately priced rooms. Although you may not find character, you’ll surely get predictable comfort.
9. Business Hotels: In Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Chandigarh and Bangalore, business hotels need customers in the winter and on weekends, when their guests are away. And, the later you arrive, the better the discount.
10. Buy a Good Guidebook: Good guidebooks are like good friends. They are like having a friend check places out for you. There are some good online guides too which can be of immense help to locate hotels while you are on Indian Travel.

which travel agent does an air ticket from adelaide to bangalore for a good deal in adelaide?

i have found Flight Centre to be one of the cheapest travel agents, and i assume they would have the same access to cheap flights/special deals Australia wide.

Otherwise, it is really up to you to go round to a few and ask for quotes (no obligation) on a price for the plane ticket your looking for. Then pick the cheapest one!

Air Travel Vocabulary

Air Travel Vocabulary

Let’s start talking about the subconscious mind strength. I know that the word subconscious it is not usually used in psychology, that you’ll read about conscious, pre-conscious and unconscious, but I rather simplify the vocabulary distinguishing only two states:

The conscious: that is our awake state, and the subconscious: the deepest levels of the mind, the level of our powerful inner mind.

Now I would like to transcribe you the testimony of one of my students:

“For fifty five years I had being dreaming to have a couple; in several opportunities I had short period relationships, that vanished in the air.

It had finally arrived to the idea that I was going to be a spinster for the rest of my life. But after practicing during one year as you taught me, the incredible thing happened: my personality began to change little by little, as all my friends commented me.

At this time I can tell you with great happiness that I have already been married for one month with a wonderful man that has changed the sense of my life. Nora

All of us in some moment of our lives, make plans for the road that we seek to travel in our existence, and we tell ourselves things as:

* “I would like to get marry” (as Nora said to herself during fifty five years)
* “I would like to have several children”
* “I would like to be a healthy person”
* “I seek to have a monthly income that allows me to save every month a small amount to use in trips or buy goods, etc.

Perhaps after this we could think that the best we can do to achieve our goals is that we follow an university career. So we will do it, and we will work with all the strength of our will, with all our physical energy, with all the acquired university knowledge, and with that maximum ten percent of our brain capacity that we can use when we are awake, to achieve our goals.

Let us suppose now for a moment that our inner mind, to our powerful subconscious mind, due to some unpleasant experience that we have had in our childhood, decides that:

* He doesn’t want to get married
* He doesn’t want to have children
* He doesn’t want to be healthy, because he likes to be cared of
* He doesn’t want to have too much money to avoid the risk of being abducted

And to accomplish it he uses that ninety percent of our cerebral capacity that we don’t usually use.. Who do you think will win?

I believe that you will have no doubts that in a fight of nine against one, the subconscious mind is the one that’s going to win. And that perhaps, at most, you will get transitory successes (as Nora did).

After reading this paragraph, you will surely begin to realize the reason why in many opportunities, you might say to yourself: “now I will go toward the north and will finish going toward the south…

And then again you will try to go to the north and once again you will go toward the south… Because our good purposes and even our hard work can very well be beaten by the strength of the powerful subconscious mind.

But then we have the enemy at home! you might think… And the answer some times will be a YES, and some times will be a NO.

Our subconscious is not really our enemy, because he will never do something that he considers noxious for us. But his point of view can coincide or not with the one that we have NOW; and his strength can become our biggest ally, or our worst enemy.

You should notice that I have highlighted the word NOW, because the decisions that the subconscious mind take, cannot be defined as simply capricious, but adjusted to the subconscious logic in the moment that they were taken (maybe when we where 5 years old).

With so many travel pillows to choose from be sure to check out the luxuriousness of these wonderful pillows before making a decision.

What does Tempurpedic mean actually?

Tempurpedic means that the pillow is made from a viscoelastic material. Visco means resistant to change of shape. Elastic indicates the ability to return to its original shape after being forced to change. Viscoelastic means that the material works with your body’s heat to mold to the shape of your head and neck. This enables your neck and head to be completely supported by the molded pillow that springs back to its original shape after the force of your body is removed, thereby eliminating pressure points and providing a more restful night’s sleep. Tempurpedic travel pillows follow the design of NASA to relieve pressure from extreme G-forces.

Cleaning a Tempurpedic travel pillow

Most travel pillows on the market come with anti-allergy and anti-mite covers which are naturally treated and zippered to help eliminate dust mites and spores. These covers are easily removed for washing.

Tempurpedic travel pillows can be easily cleaned. First remove the pillow case and hand or machine wash. The to clean the pillow itself, roll the pillow like a sleeping bag and then release , allowing the pillow material to absorbs fresh air and breathe. Repeat this process several times in different directions to aerate the pillow.

Various shapes and sizes

These space age pillows come in a variety of shapes and sizes usually in plush comfortable cotton velour fabric. One style is a small rectangle measuring approximately 10×12x4.

There is also the often seen horseshow shape which typically comes in 11×12x3″. These pillows generally cost $80.00US and upwards to $130.00US, so shop carefully for the best price.

There is also cervical style available in a travel size similar to the types many orthopedic doctors recommend for nightly sleeping. This is a versatile style in that it can be used not only for head and neck support but rolled up for lumbar support. The dimensions of this style are typically 10×12x4. By supporting the natural curve of your neck and shoulders, it provides a good night’s rest while keeping your spine properly aligned.

Additionally there is a new style available in these temperature sensitive pillows: an hourglass design which is perfect for light weight traveling. This unique style can be used as neck, lumbar or even under your knees to reduce stress on your lower back.

Ordinary pillows compress under body weight thereby providing little or no support.

Whether you use one for your daily commute to work or a long plane ride to the far side of the world, you’ll be happy you have your tempurpedic travel pillow on hand to reduce the stress and fatigue of traveling. These also make a great gift for graduates and business colleagues.

Traveling internationally, Packing problem please help?

We are moving in May and I bought some of those bags you hook a vacuum up to and suck out all the air to decrease the size. I had planned on using them to decrease the size of our 4 pillows and some sheets. My mother in law mentiond today what if they decided in customs to open them up and they all of a sudden trippled in size. I would be unable to get them back in my suitcases. Now I am not sure if I should use them but without them we can’t take all we need for our move. What is your opinion, I have never traveled before. We are going to Romania through Amsterdam if that helps
We are bringing our pillows as more a comfort to the children and sheets and towels are quite expensive and not as well made as we are used too. My mother in law has sent us a list of things we should bring because some of their items are very different or hard to find.

customs only inspects carry on bags when your going on the airplane. checked luggage you give at the front desk. if you check the pillows they wont open it when your there. if the see something that looks suspicious in thought there x-ray machines or it happens to be one of the randomly searched bags then they’ll open it when your not there if they have to. Then its there problem to get it back in not yours.
So don’t worry to much about checked luggage.
