Traveling At The Albuquerque International Sunport

Are you a New Mexico resident? If so, there is a good chance that you have heard of the Albuquerque International Sunport before. Unlike traditional airports, that contain the word airport in their name, this popular New Mexico airport has made their airport name catchy and unique. A catchy name is not all the Albuquerque International Sunport has to offer. In fact, it offers a wide variety of both international and domestic flights, on a daily basis.

Being the largest airport in New Mexico, the Albuquerque International Sunport is not just for residents who live in or around the Albuquerque area. In fact, residents travel from all across the state, just to use the top of the line service offered by this well known airport facility. If you are one of those individuals, you are urged to further examine the Albuquerque International Sunport, especially if you are a first-time visitor. You will find that a small amount of time and research will provide you with all of the information that you need to know.

Perhaps, the first step in examining everything that the Albuquerque International Sunport has to offer is to visit their online website. That website can be found at www.cabq.gov/airport. At that online website, you can learn virtually anything that you want or need to know, including information on incoming or outgoing flights, terminal locations, and airport parking services. To make use out of this valuable information, you are advised to start your research before you are to leave for your next trip. Doing so will help to ensure that you can put the information that you learned to good use.

When visiting the online website of the Albuquerque International Sunport, you will learn that a number of commercial airlines offer flights in and out of this international airport. If you are looking for international flights, you will find that Continental Airlines, Delta Airlines, American Airlines, Mesa Airlines, Northeast Airlines, and Southwest Airlines are the commercial airlines that have numerous international flights, many arriving or leaving on a daily basis.

The online website for the Albuquerque International Sunport is pretty limited on air travel rules and information; however, it does not mean that those rules to do not exist. Depending on where you are flying to and form, you may need to bring your driver’s license, government issued identification card, or your passport with you. On certain international flights, additional proof of identification may be needed. For this reason, it is best that you check with the airport or your airline before leaving for your trip.

Once at the Albuquerque International Sunport, is important that you abide by all airport rules. This includes leaving prohibited items at home or in your vehicle and cooperating with all airport security staff. Since there is always a chance that a problem could occur, intentionally or not, it is advised that you arrive at the Albuquerque International Sunport well in advance. You may want to arrive at least two hours before your flight is scheduled to depart. If you are scheduled to fly out on an international flight, you may even want to give yourself more time. By keeping the above mentioned information in mind, you should be able to make the most out of your next visit to the Albuquerque International Sunport. As a reminder, for additional information, you should examine the online website of the Albuquerque International Sunport.

Can I Take It?
Effective Tuesday, September 26, TSA Is Adjusting The Ban On Liquids, Aerosols And Gels.

Travelers may now carry through security checkpoints travel-size toiletries (3 ounces or less) that fit comfortably in ONE, QUART-SIZE, clear plastic, zip-top bag.
After clearing security, travelers can now bring beverages and other items purchased in the secure boarding area on-board aircraft.
At the checkpoint travelers will be asked to remove the zip-top bag of liquids and place it in a bin or on the conveyor belt. X-raying separately will allow TSA security officers to more easily examine the declared items.

In addition, larger amounts of prescription liquid medications, baby formula and diabetic glucose treatments must be declared at the checkpoint for additional screening.

In addition to the above changes, the following guidance is provided to ensure the health and welfare of certain air travelers the following items are permitted.

Baby formula and breast milk if a baby or small child is traveling;
All prescription and over-the-counter medications (liquids, gels, and aerosols) including KY jelly, eye drops, and saline solution for medical purposes;
Liquids including water, juice, or liquid nutrition or gels for passengers with a disability or medical condition;
Life-support and life-sustaining liquids such as bone marrow, blood products, and transplant organs;
Items used to augment the body for medical or cosmetic reasons such as mastectomy products, prosthetic breasts, bras or shells containing gels, saline solution, or other liquids; and,
Gels or frozen liquids needed to cool disability or medically related items used by persons with disabilities or medical conditions.
You are not limited in the amount or volume of these items you may bring in your carry-on baggage. BUT if the medically necessary items exceed 3 ounces or are not contained in a one-quart, zip-top plastic bag, you MUST declare to one of our Security Officers at the checkpoint for further inspection.

To effectively communicate important security information, we translated these changes into a variety of languages. Security Information In Other Languages

You are permitted to bring solid cosmetics and personal hygiene items as such lipstick, lip balm and similar solids.

We ask for your cooperation in the screening process by being prepared before you arrive. We also ask that you follow the guidelines above and try not to over-think these guidelines. Please pack liquids, gels, and aerosols in your checked baggage even if you do not normally check a bag.

In addition to liquids, gels, and aerosols numerous other potentially dangerous items are not permitted in carry-on baggage. We strongly encourage travelers to read more about previously prohibited items to avoid complications during screening.

To help you understand and navigate the new security measures, please click one of the links below.

It is unlikely that additional changes in the liquid, aerosol and gel policy will be made in the near future.

This security regimen applies to all domestic and international flights departing U.S. airports. Travelers should, however, check with transportation security authorities in their country-of-origin for flights originating at non-U.S. airports.

Air Travel Pet Carrier

Air Travel Pet Carrier

A Sherpa Pet Carrier For My Uncle

Sherpa Pet Carriers are extremely hip  in today’s dog industry.  I have written some articles on pet products, and while it is very nice to learn all that I learn when reviewing a pet product, sometimes I need to mix it up a little. I have had a lot of dogs over the years, and so has my family, so for entertainment, I have been writing about old dog stories.  It has been rewarding to write about our dogs, and hopefully they get you reminiscing about some of the old times you have had with your animals.

My uncle could never figure out what was so desirable about owning a pet.  He thought that my parents were insane to brag about their pets.  In recent times, his wife has been diagnosed with a very serious illness which leaves her in constant pain.  The pain not only has put a damper on her driving, but put a complete stop to it.  It’s hard to put myself in her situation and imagine being confined to the house after having a very enjoyable social life.  Things were not going so great until a good friend brought them a poodle in a Sherpa Pet Carrier to watch for the week-end.  Now it is their dog, and they own a few Sherpa Pet Carriers, one for any occasion.  A complete transformation took place with my uncle, and he is now absolutely crazy about Sugar, the poodle.  And to think, he never understood my parents of doting over their dogs. He and his wife take Sugar everywhere including funerals, and family reunions where the dog is given his own plate and dish of water on the table.  He holds the dog with one hand and eats with the other.  It is quite entertaining.

When you hear that dogs are wonderful therapy, my aunt is a living example of this statement.  She has forgot dwelling on her pain and cuddles Sugar, transferring her attention away from herself to the safety and welfare of Sugar.  The best part of this type of therapy is that any pet that relates to his/her master can be emotionally, physically, and socially adapted. When you coexist with a pet, it becomes part of the family.  A Sherpa Pet Carrier is one of the safest ways to take your small pet with you, and my uncle has figured that out.  A Sherpa Pet Carrier comes with a removable faux sheepskin pad for the most comfortable ride.  Being removable, the liner can easily be washed to keep it fresh for any outing.  The durable mesh side door and side panels provide plenty of ventilation and a great view for your pet as you stroll along.

This is one of the best totes for traveling as it is airline approved.  The Sherpa Pet Carrier manufacturers are avid animal lovers and enthusiasts; therefore, they would like to insure you that your pet travels comfortably and with peace of mind for you.  They have worked with major air carriers and developed a program called “Guaranteed on Board” which outlines the guidelines you will need when traveling with you pet to make sure your carrier complies with the airline rules and regulations.  Sherpa Pet Carriers are the best on the market, and if you are looking for a way to travel with your small dog or pet, you should definitely check them out.

Tips for air travel with my cat?

I’m flying from CA to TX in two weeks & am traveling for the first time with my 2 year old cat. I am carrying her in-cabin in her pet carrier. Any tips?

Don’t feed or water her for about 2 hrs before you load her up. Be prepared, she will meow and moan for a better part of the flight. Go to Wal-Mart and get a piece of fleece from the fabric area that can be scrunched up and cushy for inside the crate, have her cuddly with it now, then when you get ready to go put it in the crate. If you wear perfume, spray a lil on it the night before so it has time to air out a lil so that she has her familiar blanket and a familiar light scent while traveling. Once you get to where you are going, try not to let her go outside for a few days so she knows she is home and doesn’t try to go back to CA. And once home spend a lot of time with her. Between all that she should calm down and be just fine.
When I traveled from CA to CO with mine, I put the crate on my lap for the flight so she could see me.
I hope this helps. Good Luck!

With more than 5 million visitors each year, Pattaya has built and continues to maintain its reputation as a popular vacation spot. There are no direct flights from the UK to Pattaya’s U-Tapao Airport, but you can get a connecting flight via Bangkok Airlines from Phuket. However, most flights into Phuket originate from Bangkok, only 150 km from Pattaya, so it is easiest to fly into Bangkok and get to Pattaya by road.

When you decide to fly, you should make sure if there is room for you and anyone else that you are flying with. You need to decide if you want first class or coach. And when you arrive make sure that you have your rental car ready. That way you don’t have wait in any lines to get your car. Also make sure you can really get to Pattaya in 30 minutes or if there is going to be any problems getting there on time.

Pattaya recently updated its image to be more family oriented. It had been most famous for its go-go and beer bars. Now it attracts a large number of Thai, North and South Asian tourist that are vacationing with their families. Visitors will find a selection of Beaches, golf, horseback, bungee jumping and shooting.

Getting around Pattaya offers its own options. The songthaew, public passenger pick-up vehicles, also called Baht Busses, are available throughout Pattaya. You may also choose the local bus, motorbike taxi, or meter taxi. If you wish to brave the erratic (by Western standards) traffic, you can hire a car, motorbike or scooter.

Pattaya sees the most visitors around Christmas and New Year’s, when visitors want to go somewhere sunny and warm. Several of Pattaya’s beaches are very popular, such as Pattaya Beach near the city center. Pattaya Beach has many stores, hotels, and nightspots nearby. Many jetskis, powerboats, and deckchairs are available for rent in the area.

Away from the beach, you can visit the Pattaya Park entertainment complex offering a water park, roller coaster, monorail and children’s activities.Jomtein Beach is south of the city and a more popular spot for families.

Islands surrounding Pattaya also offer great beaches. Ko Lan, or Coral Island, is accessible by speedboat or ferry The Near Islands are close to Pattaya’s northern shores and the Far Islands lie directly to the west. Both offer the primary scuba diving destinations for Pattaya.

One of the most popular attractions at Pattaya is their Fishing excursions. You will get to experience much more than just fishing, included in the day is breakfast, lunch and a stop off at a local island for swimming. North Pattaya Fishing park will provide you with everything you need, from rods and bait to refreshments and even live music after dark. Now you can see why fishing has become such a popular diversion.

Another island specialty is golf. More than 20 courses are within an hour’s drive from Pattaya, and many are designed by golf’s most famous names. Laem Chabang International Country Club is ranked as one of Thailand’s top three courses and is considered the finest in this area.

Every year, millions of Canadians travel outside the country for business and personal activities. Most trips result in a memorable travel experience; however, there are times when unexpected troubling events occur. When an alarming incident does occur in another country, it can often be a stressful and frightening time. Fortunately, there are places Canadians can turn to for help.

When Canadians plan to travel out of the country, they are able to get assistance in more than 150 countries at more than 260 offices. There are Consular offices that offer services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Consular staff is trained to provide Canadian citizens with helpful aid for an extensive range of travel issues. Canadians traveling outside of Canada can get in touch with the closest Canadian Government office or call the DFAIT’s Operations Centre. The DFAIT not only provides consular services, but it also services other government departments and agencies which includes the Public Health Agency of Canada, Canada Border Services Agency, Passport Canada, Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and the Department of National Defence.

If you plan to travel abroad, it is important to find out the location of Government of Canada offices in the countries you plan to visit and make sure you keep the contact information with you when traveling. Located on the Consular Affairs website, the Global Issues and Country Travel Reports section has the most current information on the safety and security conditions, health issues, and entry and visa requirements for over 200 travel destinations. Before your flights, it is important to provide your family or friends with a travel schedule and your contact details while traveling, as well as the emergency number for Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada ((613) 996-8885 outside Canada; 1 800 267-6788 or (613) 944-6788 in Canada).

Consular officials can help Canadians with such issues as evacuation from a war zone, civil unrest, or a natural disaster. They will also give travelers a list of hospitals and local doctors in the event of a medical emergency, assist with legal issues that includes providing a list of local lawyers and local laws, provide assistance for victims of a crime such as a mugging, and help locate abducted children and missing persons. It is recommended that travelers purchase travel insurance to make sure they are protected in an emergency such as a medical emergency. Consular officials will also contact next of kin, replace expired, stolen, or lost passports, notarize documents, and provide a limited translation service. Some of these services will require a service fee. If you find yourself in a difficult situation in a place where the Canadian Government does not have an office, you should look for another country’s office such as the United States, Australia, or Britain. To make sure you are protected, you should register with a Canadian Government office before departure.

Because you do not always know what to expect when you travel to another country, it is important that you know what to do in case of an emergency. Being equipped with the right information will make any emergency much less stressful and easier to resolve.

Traveling abroad or within your own country is a very exciting time, especially when taking a holiday. We all enjoy visiting exotic places and experience new cultures and people. However, preparing for the trip can be very stressful; as you want to make sure that you have everything in order before you embark on your trip. The following information will help relieve any anxieties by helping you make sure you have made all of the essential arrangements prior to your trip.

Health Check Up: It is important to get a health check up from your physician around 4 to 6 weeks before travel. Based on your travel destination, your physician can assess your health needs. For instance, there are immunizations you may need and certain preventative medications that can be taken such as preventing gastrointestinal disease. Make sure you check with the Country Travel Reports to find out about health concerns, safety and security conditions, and entry requirements for your destination.

Identification: When traveling domestically by plane, passengers over the age of 16 must have some form of government-issued photo identification such as a health card or valid driver’s license. Children under the age of 16 should have a non-government issued ID such as a student ID card or original birth certificate. Passengers traveling abroad, including the United States, must have a valid passport

Flight Tickets: Before you head out to the airport, make sure you have confirmed your flight 24 to 72 hours prior to departure. This way you will find out if there have been any changes such as a cancellation or delay.

Visas: Check with the Consular Affairs website for the countries that require a visa. You can also check with a travel agent about the visa requirements for the country you are planning to visit. Make copies of all your essential documents and leave them in a safe place while you are on your trip.

Insurance: Check to see if you are covered by your home, credit card, or auto club insurance. If you are not covered or do not have adequate coverage, you should considered purchasing travel insurance.

Cash: It is important to keep a minimum amount of currency that you need to avoid any problems such as losing your money or having it stolen. Check to see if the country you are traveling to accepts travelers’ checks.

Airport Security and Packing: When packing, you have to know what you can and cannot bring on a flight. Travelers are permitted to bring liquids, gels, and aerosols as long as they are in containers with a capacity of 100ml / 100 grams or less. Liquid prescription medicine with a name that matches the passenger’s ticket or boarding pass, are allowed. Passengers should have documentation supporting a medical condition. Clearly label your luggage so that it can be easily identified.

To make your trip more relaxing and fun, it is important to make sure you have made all of your pre-flight arrangements. By keeping a list of what you have to do and what you must bring on your trip, it will help ensure a problem free walk through security, a comfortable flight, and an enjoyable trip away from home.
